remove console password for 2960 switch

someone setup console password, how to remove it and bypass it, I can't go to priviledge mode because of this console password

you will need to do a password recovery follow this doc same proc for 2960, it will be service effecting

thank you for your reply, when IOS boot, I use teraterm under menu control/, I send break, but it has no effect. kindly help

it also say "interrupt within 5 seconds to abort boot process", how to change it to one minute?

you dont use ctrl break for your model , you have a mode button on 2960 you hold that in while its booting and it goes to switch: mode from there you foollow the doc on how to reset it

you cant change the interrupt timer on any model its built in but you dont require it here anyway

Dear Cisco expert,

I follow the sugestion, using mode, enter into boot after rename config.old, but it prompts me for entering : n to discontinue config dialog, thus I enter to the situation that asking me for console password again, it fails the recovery.

also load_helper is not working, it says no such command

can you suggest something?
