Hi guys,
I removed a switch from stack renumbered it and tried "switch clear stack-mode" but it still shows "switch 1 provision c9300-48uxm" in the config..
When I try to run "no switch 1 provision" I'm getting this error "Error: A switch is already physically present at this location"
Also when I use "write erase" on it i get the same config after reloading it..
Could someone help me out with this one, please?

Just received a call from support.
These strings mean the switch is ready to work in a stack and there is no such thing as un-provisioning it.

Couple of questions :
1. you mentioned you removed the switch from stack - how many switches were in the stack, what switch you removed ?
2. when you configuring single switch you only have 1 switch. change the switch number and priorty and join to exisitng stack
before joining what is exiting stack switch and numbering ?
3. what switch show this ? switch 1 provision c9300-48uxm
post show run from exiting stack and the one you trying to conguring to understand the issue correctly.
