Replace Sup720 in VSS

Hi..

I have problem with the standby supervisor in 6500 vss and need to replace the supervisor.  I have follow how-to on the cisco web site - http://www.cisco.com/en/US/products/ps9336/products_configuration_example09186a0080a64891.shtml.

But when i boot the new standby sup720 it comes active and both supervisors is rebooting.  I wonder if i can do the replacement whitout

rebooting both active and standy supervisor.

Hi,

Make sure there is no config on the new sup.  There maybe config on it with priority and preemption configured and that will make the new sup to be the primary.
