Replacing stack switch with higher vesion

Hi,

We are planning to replace one of our stack switch(2960 S 12.2(55r)SE ver) to new(2960 X 15.0(2) ver).

Please explain the procurer before connecting in the stack and after connected. 

1) If we need to upgrade the master switch version to 15.0(2) before connect new switch .

2) is all old switch's version upgrade to 15.0 after connect the new switch. 

3) is new switch take configuration from stack

Please help to replace stack switch.

All switch members of the stack should be running the same IOS.

If we connect my new switch (2960 X 15.0(2) ver to old stack switch(2960 S 12.2(55r)SE ver)

1) Is there is any conflict to replace a switch with higher ver(15.2) than stack switch(12.2)

2) Are all the other old stack switches in the stack upgrade to new ver 15.0

3) Is new switch automatically configured from stack master

If your existing stack is running 12.2 then your new switch, with 15.X, won't join the stack. 

3) Is new switch automatically configured from stack master

If the new switch has the same IOS version as the existing stack, NO.  The new switch will be a member of the stack.  You will have to manually configure the switch priority so during a reboot the switch of your choice will automatically become the stack master.

In our stack have 4 switch with  2960S (12.2(55r)SE ver), We need to replace 2 new switch  with higher ver (2960 X 15.0(2) .

1)If your existing stack is running 12.2 then your new switch, with 15.X, won't join the stack

        I)If we need to upgrade(all or only master) the old stack switch (not replacing) from old version to new ver 15.0(2) before connect new switch in the stack with ver (15.0)

 Please explain the procurer to connect  2 switch in the stack.
