Hello,
Does anyone know if there is a stand-alone way on a Cisco router to prompt a user for a password when trying to get Internet access? There would be no other authentication method or devices other than having to enter a password. If thre was a way to present this pssword prompt as a web page that would be fantastic.
Thanks in advance! All replies rated!

Hi Angel,
The authentication proxy might help you, but it does need AAA setup as far as I know.
You'll need an IOS with the firewall feature set also.

Thanks Guys. Do either of you, or anyone else know if the authentication proxy HTML login page that users get can be customized?

Hi Angel,
As per my understanding auth-proxy authentication page can not be customizable
When auth-proxy is enable and the user is prompted for authentication. You can use the current available banner command to enter some text.
