RIP v1 with 'no auto-summary'

Hi,

Is there any purpose to configuring 'no auto-summary' under the router rip command for RIP v1 ?

I cannot see any, since all routes are summarised anyway.

You are correct, there would be no purpose of auto summarizing across a network that does not support VLSM
