Hi

I have a question in which i hope somebody can help

I have 2 router if I configure 10.1.1.1 255.0.0.0 on e0 for router1 and 10.1.1.2 255.0.0.0 on e0 for router2.

After doing the above , I can ping both routers BUT

i decide to change router1 e0 to 10.1.1.3.255.0.0.0. After doing that, router2 can ping router1 but router1 cannot ping router2. May i know wat happen.

THanks in advance. I am using the Boson router simulator. :)

Hello,

10.1.1.1 and 10.1.1.3 should not make a difference. The problem with router simulators is that they only respond to a limited set of commands and have nothing to do with a real router. Therefore, my guess is that 10.1.1.3 is simply not part of the programmed script, and I would not worry about it. Does the Boson documentation say anything about it (check Help) ?

Regards,

GP
