Hi to all,
I have updated different routers; 881G, 1921, 2921 to the latest corresponding IOS version (c880data-universalk9-mz.154-3.M4.bin, c1900-universalk9-mz.SPA.154-3.M4.bin, c2900-universalk9-mz.SPA.154-3.M4.bi) but some of them (from all types above) seem not liking to run the new version, they remain runing the old IOS version.
Any hint is really appreciated
Thank You

did you set the boot statements for the new image when you loaded it on and rebooted ?
Is there enough ram/flash available on the devices
if you did but its bypassing your new image it may have got corrupted on the upload , did you capture the boot process from console when you restarted the router that will help tell why its reverting back to old image

Hi Mark,
Thank you for your support.
I set the boot statement to the router in order for it to load the new IOS after its reboot
It is enuogh ram/flash, I am attaching two files showing one that succedd to run the new IOS and the other that doesn't
Regarding corrupted file during upload I performed verify command before the reboot and it resulted correct. I could not capture from console since the router is located in a remote site.
Any other hint is really appreciated.
Thank You in advance

without seeing the boot process happening its difficult to say what might be causing image not to be taken
i had an issue with 3020 blades taking upgrades recently and even though the md5 verified i seen whenever i uploaded by ftp and reloaded the cpu maxed causing an issue image would not go though, i wiped the image off the flash and re-uploaded using http as another method and the image took on 2nd reload, not saying thats your issue but have you tried to upload one by different method see if that helps just another option
i see in your output the boot is from USB is there no internal flash in your router or sd card flash ?

Hi Mark, all
I wiped off the latest release and put another IOS image but again they continue to run the old IOS after the reload.
Is there any way I could capture the boot process logs in a file instead of being connected to console port?
It is no external flash, it is internal but seems flash uses an internal USB bus to connect with the system and so the system calls is usbflash (this is my opinion).
Thank You in advance
