Hello all,
I have a question just a little confused about something, i haven't worked on the network yet (just started my new job on monday). The network I will be troubleshooting once i get the call sometime today has 3 GGM routers each connected to a cisco switch respectively and the 3 switches themselves are connected to one another for redundancy I would assume. They are using one vlan 455 for the newtork. I just wanted to know would running router on a stick on 3 routers using the same vlan cause any connection? Also should i use VTP and make one of the switch the server switch?

All the clients on the 455 vlan will have a Gateway configured. One of the Cisco switches might be the gateway The IP address of the switches don't really interfere with the client traffic, usually the switch IP addresses are on a different Vlan to the clients. again VTP is not really relevant. The main use for VTP if you have a large number of Vlans in your network, then any Vlan changes which are done on the vtp server are propagated to the VTP client switches ( saves having to configure every switch with any vlan changes)
really the only thing you need to look at as spanning tree, make sure the root switch is where most of the clients connect to( ie: the switches where the servers connect or where the route to the WAN is)
configurations of the switches would be useful for further investigation if required.

Hi Evalerio,
I hope you are aware of Router on Stick concept, where you can trunk vlans to router interface and can use router as gateway for client setup.
But Question to you what is your requirement and why you want multiple routers to act as router on sick, is a specific requirement.
If yes , You want then use different vlans to be part of different router as gateway and trunk with each switch for intern connectivity.
Hope it Help..
