Hi All,

Could anyone help me on the following question. As I know that the packet have to route from router to router via the destination MAC address of the gateway. However if I have the gateway(both end) that have different subnet(lan) interface that connect together and configure the routing. Will the packet reach from one end of the node to the other?

Same thing will happen

Yes that is what technically conceptual right. However, I could make both the end node to be communicate but somehow after sometimes of period it seems intermittently packet drop.

Is there any MetroEthernet or WAN links in-between ??

not it is LAN to LAN connection

can you run below ommand (as it is) on all in-between switches and routers:

sh int | inc Ethernet|drop|error|rate
