s72033-advipservicesk9_wan-mz.122-33.SRA2.bin

I have a Cisco 7609 router.

I am using IOS 122-33.SRA2.bin[Mentioned in subject]  with SUP 720 card[model WS-SUP720-3B].

When I am inserting a SUP 720 card[Model WS-SUP720-3BXL] with this IOS and booting it from ROMMON mode then- It shows downloading image, Self decompressing image and then again revert back to ROMMON mode.

Please suggest!!

Santanu

Hi Santanu,

Was this working before? Are you seeing this with other images as well?

What specific error messages do you receive? Please paste the relevant log messages which are printed when the sup is going back to rommon.

Thanks,

Does this setup ever worked before?

And if you give "boot" on rommon prompt, does the router boot properly after that?

Please check

1. whether the image is compatible with the hardware on which you are trying to load.

2. has the bootvariable set properly or not

3. config register values are 0x2102 or not.

4. manual boot should not be set to "yes".

Can you check whether this supervisor meets this memory requirements.

It could be possible the image might got corrupted.

Did you verified the image for errors after copying it to the memory device.

switch# verify /md5 :image.bin

Check whether the size of the image is correct by comparing it in cisco site.

Link for downloading the image for SRA series is given below
