Hello All,

we have two offices. one is main office and other is branch office. And  We have two point to point links i.e A and B from main office to branch office. when i am connecting A P2P link on live setup at branch office, its working fine all applications on all client machines as well.

but when i am removing A P2P link and connecting B P2P link, all the clients are able to get DHCP IP but on some of systems are not able open SAP and Lync communicator application.

All the above scenario happening when switch ports are trunk mode at both offices.

but when we are changing switch ports as access mode at both offices, all are working fine.

Request you to please suggest what should we have to do.

Please let me know if you required any other details.

Are the two P2P links of the same type?

When you remove link 'A' and plugging in link 'B' are you plugging it into the same ports on the switches at each end?

It sounds to me line 'A' must be VLAN aware and 'B' is not.  If they are meant to be layer 2 P2P circuits and they are Ethernet then make sure 'B' has been built as a QinQ circuit.
