What are the available options for converting a fiber cable with an SC connector to cat5?

Hi There

You can achieve this by using an Ethernet Media Converter and this is the only option I am aware of.

However something to give some thought to is are you also coming from 1000mbps (Fiber, SC) to 100mbps (CAT5 Fast Ethernet)? as this may cause you some problems. You may have to also hardcode your Fiber port to 100mbps to work correctly.

I think the fiber is 100Mbps coming in...I'll have to make sure. Thanks for the info and I'll check it out.
