Hi,
Does any one knows a way to secure switch to switch connection.
Doesn't matter if it is a trunk or access port, The only thing that is important is that if the other side is not a switch than the port needs to be shutdown or block the traffic.
Thanks in advance.

May be :
1. You can use the port security ..and stick the mac address of the switch on another switch.
(config-if)# switchport port-security
(config-if)# switchport port-security maximum 1 [1 is default]
(config-if)# switchport port-security violation shutdown [shutdown is default]
(config-if)# switchport port-security mac-address

But if there are many stations on one switch that want to pass the port they will be blocked because only one mac is allowed.

yes.....it will allow only 1 mac address ........
Really good question:)
Then its very hard to find other solution ...because I never heard about this kind of security between two switches...except normal password...ssh or telnet.
