Selecting a switch with NAT capability.

Hi all,

The company I work for makes a medical device, multiple cpus connected via an ethernet switch.

Apart from vlan functionality, we need NAT with static ip addresses to connect to the outside world. Which devices should i look at?

We have a 2560 but it doesnt do NAT.

The requirements for bandwidth and port count are very basic (gige but expected bandwidth is like 10 mbs or less, we need gige for latency, >= 12 ports works great).

I havenet been able to get Cisco Sales to call me yet.

6500 Series is the only switch that supports NAT. You better sit down when you hear the price. I suggest you get a router to handle NAT where needed. Much cheaper approach.

Good luck.
