Hello all,
I my environment we have upgraded cisco Nexus 5596 and it took approximately 11 minutes to become completely functional.
When the switch starts bringing up the Ethernet ports of the module at an approximately at 07th minute there was no configuration on any of the switch ports.
Only at 11th minute the switch applies the configuration for all the switch ports and the switch port become operational.
I'm trying a lot to completely understand the boot sequence of the Nexus 5K switches.
Could you please help me to know the following:
1- what is the expected time of Nexus 5596 to come up with the NxOS code?
2- Once after the switch extracts the code and bring it up with the new code, does it takes all the all the configuration including the switch ports from the NVRAM applies it to the switch ports when the ports are coming up?
3- Or the when the switch boots up with the new code it will first bring up switch port and after two or three minutes the configuration of the switch ports will be applied from NVRAM to the switch ports which came up first
Regards,
Thiyagu
