even though a router connected to an access port on a SG300 switch the RSTP disables the port.How can i fix this?

hey got to spanning-tree -STP interface settings and turn off spanning-tree for that interface the routers connected too
It shouldnt be disbaling the port is it a l3 switch or a full on router

hi mark,
i have another site with same model switch & config which works fine. Even though the router model is same. no matter how many times i do set interface active gi$$$ where $= interface number.

what have you got the port set as a trunk ? is there more than 1 link to between the switch and router if there both sg300s ?
if its working on another site and its same physical setup and config you may be having a firmwrae issue you could try upgrade or check with SMB is there a know issue on your current firmware with stp
