SFP-10G-SR= vs SFP-10G-SR-S= ??

Does anyone know what the technical difference is between these two SFP+ modules? Their function seems to be identical.

,

The only difference that I can easily find, is that the SFP-10G-SR= costs about $220 more than the SFP-10-SR-S= module:

Brief explanations show that they are exactly the same, but can't find the S version in the data sheet but that does not mean it does not work. I personally buy a SFP-10G-SR= as I have used them many times and I know they will work.

So the only difference that I have found is the SFP-10G-SR supports WAN PHY where the SFP-10G-SR-S does not support WAN PHY.

So in a LAN the SR-S should be good.

I am about to spec it for a 10G core/LAN design.

Garry.

SFP-10G-SR-S does not support FCoE.

Hi -

Is there an underlying cause for not supporting FCOE?  Does the module simply not support PFC (Priority Flow Control)? Is there an issue with jumbo frames on this module?
