SFP Compatibility Before Purchase

Hello,

   I need to find a 48 port 10GE switch. I have found the Cisco C9500-48X-A, but I do not know if the SFP's I have are compatible with the 10GE interfaces. I have 48x 10GBase-T SFP+'s (SFP-10G-T-X) copper. Will these two be compatible? I can't find the difference between 10GBase-T and 10GBase-X.

The Cisco 9500-48X-A is not even listed... That doesn't make sense...

You are correct. I don't see much info about this model. Maybe because it's a newer model, and the matrix has not been updated.

Yes, it will work on a 9500 but it cannot be Cisco-branded optics.

Whatever brand of optics picked, not all 48 ports will be enabled.  This is because each SFP-10G-T optics require very high amount of power to be operational and the 9500 does not have a lot of power to go around.  

A better alternative is to get 9300X-48TX (48 port Data, 48x 10G Multigigabit).

IMPORTANT:  If the decision is to go down the 9300X direction, please DO NOT STACK THEM.  Make sure the 9300X are in standalone or else they will become unstable.

Heeding the advice given, the 9300X-48TX seems like the perfect solution, unfortunate supply chain will delay it for a bit.
