The Catalyst 3560 product page shows an SFP interconnect cable that allows two switches to be connected directly using SFP ports.
http://www.cisco.com/en/US/products/hw/switches/ps5528/products_data_sheet09186a00801f3d7d.html
Can these interconnect cable be used for other Catalyst switches (eg 4948) ?
Thanks.

Hi
The cables mentioned over here are very short in distance and if i were you i would go for other cable from a renowned vendor...
So that i an reuse the same if i have any requirement in later point of time...

Thanks for reply.
So does that mean that SFP cables can be used to directly connect SFP ports on 2 different catalyst switches?
I'm trying to avoid having to buy SFP modules, which then sticks out of the port and is probably more expensive also.
Thanks again.
