I have two switches Cisco 6500

one side have a supervisor 720 with CATOS version 8.6(5) and the other side have a supervisor 32 with IOS release 12.2(4)15a.

the switch with the supervisor 720 have configured UDLD enabled and the supervisor 32 side have not.

when i reset the supervisor 32 side, the SFP port in that switch is not up. in the supervisor 720 the port joins in error disable state, altough the port is not configured for aggresive mode.

i was need to unplug the SFP module in the switch with the supervisor 32 to recover the link.

any explanation about this issue?
