Hello - I have an SG300-10PP (FW 1.4.0.88) switch that I would like to cycle POE power on a schedule (say every 24 hours) to force a hard reboot on the attached devices. Is there anyway to do this? Another way to accomplish the same thing is to simply reboot the SG300. It looks like this can be done at a future time on the Administration Tab, but it's only a 1-time action. Any ideas?
thanks,

Hi
Even on catalyst switches you have to do an EEM script to do that or you just have the same option reload in or reload at based on a time in command line, i dont think even on cli mode EEM is supported on any SMB switch so your limited to the option you have seen in GUI , either way its not good to be rebooting network hardware constantly unless you have to

I totally agree with Mark's point on that it is not good to be constantly rebooting hardware.
However from a purely academic standpoint, I think that this would be possible by using an external machine with a scheduled cURL task to "press" the reset button for you. You would have to do a little bit of debugging in Chrome and messing about with cURL to get it done (google is your friend). If I had a SG300 I would try it myself for fun, but I don't at the moment.
