sh ip accounting on 6500

I am unable to get details of conversation after ip accounting is turned on for an int vlan

are you applying the ip accounting on the right interface for the network in question.

Hi,

You can configure IP accounting on the interface but you will not have any information from the output of show ip accounting. T

The reason is that data traffic in the 6500 is not actually switched by the MSFC, but rather is switched in hardware by the PFC (policy

feature card), so the accounting does not work.

In review, even when the command is supported by the IOS, it will not work due the

hardware design of the 6500 platforms.
