Hi everybody!
I have a question to MTU sizes. I am using a 7606.
For my understanding, there is the Layer 2 MTU and the Layer 3 MTU.
I have configured the physical L2 Interface with a MTU size of 9216.
And I have configured the logical L3 Interface with a MTU size of 1600.
When I look directly to the VLAN (show vlan id xy), the output says MTU 1500.
What does this MTU size mean?
The configuration as I mentioned above (L2 MTU 9216; L3 MTU 1600) is working correctly.
But I do not understand this VLAN MTU 1500, as I have a L2 MTU of 9216.
Thanks for your replies ;-)

May it be, that this is only a cosmetic/historic indicator?
