Hi,
we have a topology in the Lab like this :
Switch1----->Router1 port 1---Router1 port 2>----------->Router2 port 1
we would like to shutdown the Router1 port2 when Router1 port 1 is down , like link status propagation
How can we perform this ?

Yoram

No offense but ARE YOU SERIOUS????
If the remote router's port is Administratively Down due to the "shutdown" command (which is very possible) how do you expect the link to "no shutdown"????

I think he's talking about the change on the local router only. Like if one interface goes down he wants to shut down the second interface. He'll need to create an EEM script for that. Search hear for EEM, there was a question about this just last week.

I need to calm down. I need to calm down. I need to calm down.
Ok. Let's presume the EEM script will cause the local router's port to be "shutdown". How do I automatically tell the port to enable itself?
