Simple question about Policy Based Routing (PBR)

Hi,

Im not too sure if Im just being a an idiot but it is possible to create 2 static default routes using PBR isnt it? I'm just not 100% if it is only for use with route redistribtion and I cant seem to find the info that I need online.

I have a requirement where I want a specific subnet to use 1 default gateway and another subnet to use a different gateway and are only using static routes.

Sorry for such a simple question

Jake

Hi,

PBR doesn't use the RIB for the forwarding decision so it doesn't use static routes but what you want to achieve will be done with PBR indeed while keeping your static routes.

Regards.
