SM-ES2-16-P module

Hi,

I have Cisco 2911 router with  SM-ES2-16-P module. I am able to access it  with command" service-module gigabitEthernet 1/0 session" . output of sh ip int br

issue is that I am unable to ping 192.168.195.10 from switch module. As per below mentioned link I should configure L3 interface in switch module.

but i dont have the option of "no switchport" under any interface. Kindly let me know how I can resolve this issue.

Hello,

can you post the running config of your router, as well as the output of 'show version' ?

Hello,

interface GigabitEthernet1/0 with IP address 192.168.195.10/24 connnects the router to the switch module. One of the interfaces on the ES module needs to be configured with an IP address from that same range, and then you need to set a default route on the ES, pointing to 192.168.195.10 as the next hop:

ip route 0.0.0.0 0.0.0.0 192.168.195.10

Let's say you want to configure 1/0/2 as the port communicating with R1, what options do you see ?

R1-ES#conf t

R1-ES(config)#interface GigabitEthernet1/0/2

R1-ES#(config-if)#?

also make sure that you are running at least 12.2(52)EX on the EtherSwitch...
