We have a site that have a few 3750s behind a 2811 router. SNMP has been configured for alerts/monitoring on the inside switches. My question is this; is there a way to have to the SNMP alerts send the device hostname so we know which switch the SNMP traps are reporting on?

Hi Henry,
Have you checked the Reverse DNS lookup is happening from Monitoring server or try adding a hostfile entry for one switch and do testing.
Beuase with Solar wind monitoring server you can do this if DNS entry is added and under manage nodes setting you do the rest of the configuration.
Hope it Helps..

I apologize for the late response. Working with out systems guys, we were able to get the RDNS setup as you suggested.
Thank you for the assistance.
