Greetings,
I have a span/monitor port set up to mirror a vlans traffic on a 9606 Stackwise pair. My question is: Does a single span/mirror port on one of the switches capture all the vlan traffic from both switches? My gut says yes, but I want to verify in case I need to set up monitoring on both switches.
Thanks in advance!
Scott

That's correct. If vlan exist on both switches and it is on the trunk between switches, then, we are talking about the same broadcast domain thus all the traffic will be on both switches. It will be a flat layer2 domain.

SVL means 2 Physical one act as single Virtual so your statement correct, it capture all the information, But Limitation if the SPAN Physical Port of that chasis go down then you wont get any updated information, so suggest to push 2 destination different chasis ports.
make sense ?
