SPAN port traffic showing peaks more than BW of the port

I have a C3560 switch with a 100mbps port SPANed to another 100mbps port on same switch and Both (RX & TX) option selected. However,in  "BW Over Time" trace graph from a proprietary monitoring appliance (CACE Pilot by CACE Tech) connected to the SPAN destination port is showing several peaks more than 200mbps, the theoritical limit of the port. The monitoring appliance is tracing in real time.

Now I wonder what is the explanation for this ?

   If you issue a "show controllers utilization"  what does that tell you compared to the monitoring tool ?

Sorry, I realized an error in the monitor session configuration. And indeed the monitoring appliance is right.
