Hi ,
We have a site running 6509 switch . It has 2 SPAN sessions running fine.
Source of SPAN session : 8 ports
Destination : 2 ports
i.e first span session has 8 src ports and 1 destination port
second span session has same 8 source ports and 2nd destination port.
Now my task is to mirror traffic of same 8 input ports to 3rd destination port.
My question is :
1) Is number of SPAN sessions (local SPAN) dependent on software version ?
2) Is number of SPAN sessions (local SPAN) dependent on hardware like SUP cards ?
3) Is number of SPAN sessions (local SPAN) dependent on line cards where source and destination are hosted ?
If possible ; please point to documentation which can point to maximum number of SPAN sessions supported .
Thanks

The version that I am using is :
Cisco IOS Software, s72033_rp Software (s72033_rp-ADVIPSERVICESK9_WAN-M), Version 12.2(33)SXI9, RELEASE SOFTWARE (fc2)

It only seems to be "loosely" dependent on IOS version - this is for SXH and later (I'm not sure what it's like on SXF):
