Do a "sh vlan" and post the output.

Also, if you do a "sh spanning-tree summary" is there any output at all ?

Jon

Hi Ali

Doesn't matter about the L3 interfaces as this is layer 2 we are concerned about. Can you post the output of

1) sh vlan

Then pick one of the vlans and do a

"sh spanning-tree vlan "number you have picked"

2) Post output of "sh run" of switch

Jon

jon

also my L2 Interface are administratively down

Ali

You need to have at least one interface up in the vlan for the spanning-tree algorithm to run.

If you have a trunk link that is up then this would do it but if you don't have any trunk links up then you need to bring up a port in the vlan for spanning-tree to start running.
