Spanning Tree Portfast Default

I've got an access switch with trunk uplinks to core.  My directive is to apply spanning-tree portfast default in global config mode.  Do the trunks ignore that command; the command fails (somehow command not applied) on trunks?

Yes, command does not apply to trunk ports.
