Stack Configuration on WS-C3650-24TD-S

Hi,

kindly help me to prepare stack on WS-C3650-24TD-S switches.

we are planning to configure 2 node stack (two switches on each stack).

1. what is the configuration for stack formation on Cisco 3650-24TD-S switches.

2. how can we verify the stack (verification commands).

3. after forming stack (first switch act as master and second switch act as standby), can we configure etherchannel for server (or other dual connected devices between stack member) connected ports which is connected to ports on both member switches on the stack (example: server port1 connected to Port-01 of  Sw01, same server port2 connected to Port-01 of Sw02. can we able to configure etherchannel (port bundling /Lacp or Pagp) on these two ports.) if yes which port bundling is advisable.

Depends on what the device support.  LACP, PAGp or Mode on.

Regarding Query-1 (1. what is the configuration for stack formation on Cisco 3650-24TD-S switches.)as per my understanding if we connect both switches using stack cable automatically join stack and one device elect as Master and other become Standby (based on Active and Standby Switch Election procedure).

am i correct.

final query for C3650-24TD-S is there any
OOBM (out of box management) IP address. (as per my understanding can't configure OOBM ip, we can configure a management vlan ip address for entire stack, that means entire stack having a single management ip address and hold by Active switch)
am i correct.

Yes you can.
The Management Port was designed primarily for OoBM purposes.

still am little bit confused, could you please help me to get the better understanding.

As per my understanding WS-C3650-24TD-S have a OOBM port, so we can can configure oobm management ip address for this switch.

on our case we have two WS-C3650-24TD-S switches (configured as a two node stack that means both switches act as a single switch).

1. if we configure a Management vlan ip address for the stacked switch. by using this ip address remotely we can access the switch and able to manage. 

2. if switches are in stack, can we configure individual oobm ip address for each stack members (example: stack member-01 oobm ip- 192.168.0.1/24, stack member-02 oobm ip- 192.168.0.2/24).

3. if query-2 answer is yes, with these management oobm ip address can we manage /configure the switch.

Management port will act as one (regardless how many members in a stack). You can't assign different IP addresses to each stack member.
Provide only the IP address and subnet mask. There is no way for the Managment port to support a default gateway IP address.
