# switch current-stack-member-number renumber new-stack- member-number
example configuration
:# switch 2 renumber 1
Question : what is the current-stack-member-number
: what is the new-stack- member-number
#reload slot 2 -this is right i will reload 2
Question 2: I will configure this configuration in master? master means the first switch installed? because this is assuming the additional switch.
Then how the configuration of new switch? only for the VLAN switchport ?
Please help me this scenario.
THANKS

You didn't identify the switch model, but usually . . .
Question 2: I will configure this configuration in master? master means the first switch installed? because this is assuming the additional switch.
Configuration is managed by current master.
The master switch is the switch controlling the stack logically. It doesn't have to be the first switch installed, it's whatever switch won the last stack master election.
Then how the configuration of new switch? only for the VLAN switchport ?
You can preprovision, i.e. configure before you add the additional switch, or just often add the additional switch and once it joins the stack, it's ports can be configured. Often those ports are configured as switchports (also often the default), but depending on the switch and software, often ports can also be configured as routed or trunk ports too.
