Hi Sagar,
Feb 25 09:36:46: %PLATFORM_STACKPOWER-4-UNDER_BUDGET: Switch 2 does not have sufficient power budget
Feb 25 09:37:46: %PLATFORM_STACKPOWER-4-UNDER_BUDGET: Switch 2 does not have sufficient power budge
Explanation: Switch # does not have sufficient power budget. There is not quite enough
input power in the power stack to ensure that every switch receives its 190W/223W/etc
MINPOWER "minimum" power budget. This means that StackPower cannot guarantee the
identified switch will not lose power or load-shed.
The problem could be fixed by either one of the following options:
Option 1: Put one or both of the switches into standalone with these
commands:
Switch(config)#stack-power switch 2
Switch(config-switch-stackpower)#standalone
Then wait 60 to 90 seconds and verify/check if the "UNDER_BUDGET" syslog
ceases occurring. If it does, then put the switch or switches back out of
standalone ("no standalone") and see if the syslog still stays away. If it
does, then the problem is solved (permanently).
This should be a non service affecting option as you have the power stack
setup in power-sharing mode but i would suggest you to do it in a downtime
window.
Option 2: Power cycle the switch throwing this error message. Please note
that we must do a power cycle, not a reload as we do with IOS upgrade.
There's a difference in this particular case.
HTH
