Does anyone know if its possible to stack 3750G' and 3750X' together?

Full model numbers and current versions as below.

Already Stacked

WS-C3750G-24TS-1U ( c3750-ipservicesk9-mz.122-55.SE4.bin)

WS-C3750G-24TS-1U ( c3750-ipservicesk9-mz.122-55.SE4.bin)

Would like to add to the existing stack.

WS-C3750X-48 (C3750E-UNIVERSALK9-M), Version 15.0(2)SE10a)

Update: I can see that I can get a universal image on the 3750x version122-55.SE11 and can upgrade the 3570G' to IPServices 122-55.SE11, are these firmware versions compatible in a stack?

Hi dude:

I hope this link will be helpful for you:

you http://www.cisco.com/c/en/us/td/docs/switches/lan/catalyst3750x_3560x/software/release/12-2_53_se/configuration/guide/3750xscg/swstack.html

Hi Julio,

Thank you for the note, i'd previously reviewed that document but could only see the following

'–A mixed hardware and software stack with Catalyst 3750-X, Catalyst 3750-E, and Catalyst 3750 switches supporting different features as stack members.

For example, a stack with the Catalyst 3750-X members running the IP services feature set and the Catalyst 3750 members running the IP services software image.'

It doesn't detail if you can run the universal (3750x) / ipservices (3750g) images together on the same stack, so was wondering if anyone has had any experience of stacking these together?

Many thanks,

Update: Just found the following forum post, its dated but looks to be what I am trying to achieve.

https://supportforums.cisco.com/discussion/11570101/add-new-3750x-universal-3750ipservices-stack

Years ago, I worked in an environment where we had 3750Es and 3750Gs in the same stack.  the Es might have the advanced services images while the Gs had IPBase, worked fine (well excluding what happens when you mix StackWise and StackWisePlus units in the same stack).

Any 3750s should work in a stack, with compatible software (BTW, in that old post, it notes IOS versions need to be identical, that's not always true; StackWise software needs to be compatible, but it's "easiest" to just insure the same IOS version is being used).  Suspect the X will work with your Gs even if the X has a better/active license.
