Stacking C9500 with only one link but setup for a second link

Hi all

I'm stacking two C9500-24Y4C-A (HA) using release Bengaluru 17.06.04.

Unfortunately, for now, I've only two FortyGigabit sfp, so I' ve only one link as stack cable.

Surely I will stack the the switches with what I've, but my question is :

I'll set up the port for a second stacking cable, but when I will connected it, the C9500 will work seamless or a reboot will be necessary ?

     - It won't reboot but check the logs of all devices involved too , to verify that all is normal ,
