hi everybody,
I'm experiencing a strange behaviour on a catalyst 3750-48PS-S.
In the system log appears "%STACKMGR-5-MAJOR_VERSION_MISMATCH: Major Version Mismatch (Local 1 - Received 3) with neighbor-1"
but this is not a stack :
#sh switch
Switch/Stack Mac Address : 0012.43ad.8c80
H/W Current
Switch# Role Mac Address Priority Version State
----------------------------------------------------------
*1 Master 0012.43ad.8c80 1 0 Ready
#
I updated ios from 12.2(55)SE1 to 12.2(55)SE4 with no change.
someone got any idee ?
thank you

I have some bad experience with some 16mb 3750. Mostly caused by the stack controller failing. If you have a service contract then get this switch replaced as you can't determine whether or not the issue is going to get worst.

Sounds like a hardware failure to me.
Can you try to post the output to the command "sh post" please?
When this is done, can you reboot the switch and see if you are still getting the same issue? I'm running 12.2(55)SE4 and I have not seen this error message in our fleet of 3750 of >100 stacks.
