Hi All

I have a question about Stackwise virtual, when setting up the switch virtual link on each switch, do you have to use a different number like when you set up vss, or is the switch virtual link the same number on both ends of the link?

Hi Carl,

Depending on the HW used, there is a set of ports that can be used as a Stackwise Virtual link.  The port numbering does not need to match between switches.

Hi,

No, this is not like VSS that you need 2 different Portchannels with 2 different numbers. You just configure the physical ports and add them to the domain on both switches.
