Stackwise with License Expired

Hello,

 

Can someone please confirm if the StackWise Virtual will still work if both Switches' Licenses are expired? Currently, all the interfaces of the switch 2 are in down down state even if I tried to shut-noshut the interface. Appreciate any response from anyone. thank you

As per my experience, License should not be an issue here. (if you have network advantage running for Long).

 

But the switch running more than 1 YEAR, and you running EVAL License for year ?  this is more of compliance issue and you need to fix this.

 

Status: EVAL EXPIRED on Sep 13 12:50:29 2020 PST   - this was expired year back. ?

 

the reason  - this looks for Physical issue of the SVL or DAD Links check, replace the patches  /. reseat the SFP and test

 

Last switchover reason = active unit removed

 

Note : get proper Licesense if the License expired it fall back to essential License, which also stop working stackwise virtual, required network advantage License for the stackwise to work.

Stackwise Virtual is NOT supported on 16.9.x code. It only began support on 16.10.x code. That means that you have to look at upgrading them to 16.12.x or 17.3.x. 

If you aren't familiar with the Smart Licensing changes presented in 17.3.x, take the time to read over the release notes to avoid any hassle.

All I did was turn it off and back on. Now here I am.
