Static Routes

Hi Guys this is a requirement that my teacher assigme, I can´t do it... is posible?

-L-1 and L-2 they must communicate via the ethernet  shared by "S-AR to Central as primary path, while the serial connection between R-1  and R-2 will be as a backup path to be inserted if the ethernet falls.

I try to use

ip route 0.0.0.0 0.0.0.0 fa0/1 3
ip route 0.0.0.0 0.0.0.0 s0/0/0 5

But I can´t comunicate because the packet can go out but it can´t come back. help me!

Your teacher told all of us not to help you with direct answers...-:)

You are almost there with the req.

1. Please check whether all directly connected links are pinging.

i.e connection btw L1 - R1, R1-R2 via serial, R1-R2 via S-AR and R2-L2

2. When pinging, if the packets are going out of R1 and not coming back dont you think that you are being unfair with the packets

transmitted back by L2 ?

3. Can you try the command "debug ip icmp" on R2 when pinging from L1 to L2 ?
