We have Cisco 6509 with firewall module installed. Can you tell me the steps to configure VLANs with trunking?
Thanks.
Diane

Hello Diane,
The FWSM is a fabric enabled catalyst 6500/7600 module comprised primarily of two elements, a PC complex and a daughter Network Processors.
The switch software automatically bundles them together and creates a 802.1 Q trunking etherchannel connection with a fwsm installed.
sh etherchannel summary
sh firewall module
Again the loadbalancing is been selected by the user and a session-based hash-algorith is been used
port-channel loadbalance
Since the trunking is been already created no need to create a new one,
so to do this, simply assign the vlans to the FWSM on the switch in question with the switch fwsm commands

You have just asked this already in this same forum and received an answer. Why have you started a new post asking the same thing ?
