STP for servers/non-servers

Hi experts,

I have the following diagram for reference.

     CS01A and CS02A = Core Switches (C3750X)

     CS01B and CS02B = distribution switches (C2960S)

     ES01 to ES04 = Access Switches (C2960S)

I have a server with dual NIC and configures teaming, and connects 1 active link to ES02 and a standby link to ES04, do I need to configure anything on the switch or STP will takeover automatically?

What if that is not a server but a device which cannot perform NIC teaming but must have actuve and standby links, is there anything to be configured on both switch or STP port priority is sufficient?

You don't need stp in either case. In the first case you are connecting using NIC teaming, meaning Etherchannel on the switch side.  If this is the case then the switch sees both physical interfaces as one logical unit.  In the second case you have active/stand-by, which means you are using the active link all the time until that link goes down.  So, again one link at a time being used.
