2 Different ip addresses, same mac address

Hi all

Under what circumstances would I see the same mac address but with 2 ip addresses when doign a shwo arp on my core switch?

Hi Carl,

in your second post you pasted the MAC address (MAC Flap Message), so we know there's a HP Virtual Connect module on the other side. Typically there're running multiple servers on such a module and you see an ARP entry for every server IP address, all using the same MAC.

I'm not familiar with the HP VCs but I think this is default behavior and can be changed if desired.
