Hi everyone,
when i connect my Cisco Catalyst 2950 to Putty via USB-Serial i received in terminal only strange characters. I tried change speed (baud rates), but nothing changed.
I also tried reinstall drivers for USB-serial device.
Thanks for help.

Make sure your parity is set to 8N1.

Yes, parity is OK.

And you are using 8 data bits and 1 stop bit?
Can you tried another serial cable?
Failing that, perhaps the console port is no longer functional. But I would bet my money on a settings mis-match.

Im not really sure if the problem could be about the serial adapter, but it could be, I bought the following a time ago and it works perfectly:

Have you used the adapter with other device?
