Stuck at Factory Reset on a Catalyst 3850

Hello.

I'm performing a factory reset on a 3850. Followed steps in this forum. Removed old configuration, but now, after reboot, It gets stuck here:

% Checking backup nvram
% No config present. Using default config

Both ignore startup configuration and disable password are set
This will result in erasing the startup config
Do you want to Erase the config? Default: n, Answer y/n:

"

Doesn't accept any input and just gets stuck here, and never gets the switch prompt.

Guidance is highly appreciated.

                  - Verify sanity of operating-terminal  , by using on other switch console connection.

That's not a factory reset. 

The correct factory reset for IOS-XE is to use the command "factory-reset all" and then use the USB stick to load the firmware packages back into the switch using the command "emergency-install usbflash0:filename.bin".
