Hi

Can i assign 192.168.10.34/27 and 192.168.10.34/28 on two interfaces of my router. If i do so will my router pop up any error message.

No, you can't .... and Yes, it will.

The router shouldn't even let you make the second assignment (complaining of address "overlap").

The closest you *might* get is to use the /27 as a summary address in your routing protocol.

Hey there,

If you had an IP packet arrive at the router and it was destined for 192.168.10.35, which interface would it send it out of?

The answer is that it could be both, that's why you can't put the same networks on 2 interfaces of a router, as it's a layer 3 device and it's job is to break up networks!

You can always try to do this on loopback addresses, which should not affect service to see what the router tells you.
