Is it possible to see the traffic rate on a subinterface. From the show interfaces I can see only combined traffic on main interface.
GigabitEthernet2/1 is up, line protocol is up
Hardware is Gigabit Ethernet, address is 0018.7360.8181 (bia 0018.7360.8181)
MTU 1500 bytes, BW 1000000 Kbit, DLY 10 usec, rely 255/255, load 4/255
Encapsulation ARPA, loopback not set
Keepalive set (10 sec)
Auto Duplex, 1000Mbps, link type is autonegotiation, media type is LX
ARP type: ARPA, ARP Timeout 04:00:00
Last input 00:00:00, output 00:00:00, output hang never
Last clearing of "show interface" counters never
Queueing strategy: PXF First-In-First-Out
Output queue 0/8192, 1 drops; input queue 0/75, 0 drops
5 minute input rate 9187000 bits/sec, 4091 packets/sec
5 minute output rate 19331000 bits/sec, 4196 packets/sec
5419310826 packets input, 1797388924287 bytes, 0 no buffer
Received 1452867 broadcasts, 0 runts, 0 giants, 0 throttles
1 input errors, 0 CRC, 0 frame, 0 overrun, 0 ignored
0 watchdog, 2257891 multicast, 0 pause input
5782916690 packets output, 3612985880133 bytes, 0 underruns
0 output errors, 0 collisions, 53 interface resets
0 babbles, 0 late collision, 0 deferred
0 lost carrier, 0 no carrier, 0 pause output
0 output buffer failures, 0 output buffers swapped out

ARP type: ARPA, ARP Timeout 04:00:00
Xconnect switched:

I have got the following output by giving show vlan command...
UMS-10720#sh vlan 806
VLAN ID: 806 (IEEE 802.1Q Encapsulation)
Protocols Configured: Received: Transmitted:
IP 14418742 16980286
MPLS 0 0
VLAN trunk interfaces for VLAN ID 806:
GigabitEthernet2/1.806 (806)
IP: 213.130.120.105
Total 0 packets, 0 bytes input
Total 134613 packets, 15714655 bytes output
But I am confused on second last line where it says 0 packets and 0 bytes input.
Is there SNMP support for subinterfaces? I use 12.0(32)S4. I could not find anything on feature navigator.
Thanks,
Prakash
