summarization for an ABR on an NSSA area

If I have an ABR router that is connected to area 0 and an NSSA area ... how do I summarise type 7 LSAs that I receive from an ASBR inside the NSSA area?

Technically this route is producing Type 5 LSAs.... does that make it an ASBR of sorts? It is not doing the actual redistribution though...

Would I use the summary-address command or the area x range command?

Hello Steven,

in Cisco implementation you need to use the summary-address command to create summary external routes to be inejcted out of the NSSA area in the OSPF domain.

Hope to help

Giuseppe
